QUALITY

Ketray Contract Cleaning Limited applies the philosophy “we care, we can, we will” and provides a service that meets all client contractual requirements and specifications.

The Company operates a quality management system that has gained BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 Certification, which is described in a Quality Manual and detailed in the Quality Procedure Manual.

All staff whose work directly affects the quality of our service are trained to perform the required tasks. An induction check list is used to ensure cover of all necessary subjects and all staff are made aware of the standards expected.

Regular checks are made to ensure that standards are being maintained and all areas covered. Supervisors check lists are used on all sites to ensure regular, systematic inspection and remedy below standard work.

Effective client contact is ensured by the use of a report and action book left on site at all times to be checked daily by our onsite staff. Management review ensures that the system is effective. On a regular basis, the site records are used as a basis of a formal meeting with the client, to consider the performance aspects of the site to date.

In addition, client satisfaction calls are made from head office on a six weekly basis, these are independent calls carried out by one of our administration staff.

EMPLOYMENT

Ketray ensures that all legal requirements in accordance with employment legislation are complied with, which includes the transferral of staff under the TUPE regulations.

It is the company’s policy to guarantee all prospective employees a face to face interview and consideration for all positions that are available. All job offers will be conditional upon satisfactory references being obtained.

If necessary, the company will utilise other sources for the recruitment of personnel including employment agencies, job centre’s and where appropriate, advertisements in the trade and local presses.

If required by the client all employees working in schools, nurseries etc. will have a Criminal Record Bureau check.

In the recruitment of personnel and their subsequent training and promotion, the company operates a strict Equal Opportunities Policy to ensure that no employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, religion, nationality, sex, marital status or age.

TRAINING

We do not assume that operatives know how to clean, therefore, at the beginning of the contract; induction training is given to all members of staff which not only deals with the legal requirements of Health and safety, etc., but also ensures we are able to quickly establish our standards within your premises.

We have a number of BICSc trainers and assessors who along with our onsite supervisors manage a comprehensive training programme to ensure that each individual operative is aware of the standards and duties required of them and how to operate safely any equipment they may be required to use.

Training is ongoing and in addition to our internal training programme we also receive expert backup and support from our main suppliers.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Ketray Contract Cleaning Ltd is in business to keep the environment clean. With the environmental impact becoming an increasingly important issue across the globe, Ketray has achieved the ISO 14001:2004 Certification, illustrating our environmental commitment to our clients. This standard demonstrates sound environmental practice by controlling the impact of our activities and products in the environment.

Ketray as a Company have produced objectives for improving our environmental practices and a management programme to achieve them, with regular reviews for continual improvement
